Dr. Christine Wyss is a neuroscientist and therapist who brings new digital therapies directly to clients.She is interested in new digital tools such as virtual reality, therapeutic games, brain-computer interface and biosignal monitoring that offer revolutionary new ways to promote and train the brain in terms of behavioural change and balance.
Christine holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Zurich. She has collaborated with the Forschungszentrum Jülich, among others, and published in international journals, such as Human Brain Mapping, Neuroimage, European Psychiatry. Her main focus of research lies in the field of multimodal brain imaging technology to improve mental health care. Currently, she conducts research on the implementation of digital therapies in mental health services. She has completed her postgraduate training as a psychotherapist in solution focused and systemic therapy.
In 2015 she co-founded the Institute for Mental Health – a therapeutic gaming lab – with the aim of making innovative therapy methods usable for the client. The Institute actually works on Hyggii, an AI powered virtual therapist that prevents and treats mental disorders by offering first assistance and personalized digital solutions.
